Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel will visit Ankara on Tuesday at the invitation of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said Monday.

A wide range of matters of mutual interest are expected to be discussed during the talks. The programme of Gabriel's visit also includes a wreath-laying ceremony at the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkiye.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel met with the Turkish Ambassador to Bulgaria Aylin Sekizkok on July 18, who invited her for an official visit to Ankara. Gabriel noted that the discussion focused on topics related to bilateral relations and European policy.
