Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov will convene a meeting with representatives of the Interior Ministry and security services on August 18 at 15:00 at the Council of Ministers, the Cabinet press service announced0 Thursday.

The meeting is in connection with the increase in serious criminal offences in the country.

Earlier on Thursday, co-leader of Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) Atanas Atanasov wrote on Facebook that it was urgent to convene a meeting of the Security Council at the Council of Ministers to propose specific measures and tasks to curb risks and counter current threats to national security.
