site.btaBulgarian Slavei Folk Song and Dance Ensemble to Perform in Mexico International Fest

Bulgarian Slavei (Nightingale) Folk Song and Dance Ensemble will take part in the Festival Zacatecas del Folclor Internacional in Mexico, the Bulgarian Embassy in Mexico said on its Facebook page. 

The event, which began on July 30, will continue until August 6. 

The ensemble has selected the best of its repertoire, which includes dances from across Bulgaria, for its performance. They will also perform a special dance choreographed and set on a song performed by the great folk singer Nadka Karadzhova, the Embassy said. 

The ensemble has selected 18 dancers, five singers and two mixing editors as their envoys to Mexico, the Embassy said, adding an invitation to local residents to visit the event and enjoy Bulgarian music and dances.

The Slavei Folk Song and Dance Ensemble was established by Antonia and Stefan Ivanov in 2017.
