The Vassil Levski National Sports Academy (NSA) signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with the French Institute in Bulgaria a year before the Paris Olympics. The agreement is aimed to promote physical exercise, popularize sport among people with disabilities and spread the Olympic values of diversity and inclusion, the French Institute said on Tuesday. NSA Rector Nikolai Izov and French Institute Director Pierre Colliot affixed their signatures to the document.
Colliot said the agreement bears witness to the importance which the French Embassy and the French Institute in Bulgaria attach to sport as a means of dialogue, inclusion and social equality.
Izov stressed the NSA's commitment to implementing the agreement and working for the development of Bulgaria's cooperation with France in the field of sport.
The Olympic Summer Games in Paris will be held between July 26 and August 11, 2024, and the Paralympic Games between August 28 and September 8 of that year.
