Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov is in Vilnius for NATO's Summit on July 11-12, the government information service said. The delegation includes Defence Minister Todor Tagarev, the Chief of Defence, Admiral Emil Eftimov, and Deputy Foreign Minister Tihomir Stoichev.

The forum is expected to make decisions about NATO's further political and practical support for Ukraine, to reinforce the Alliance's deterrence and defence potential, and to set a more ambitious investment pledge to invest a minimum of 2% of GDP annually in defence.

The summit will involve allied format meetings, discussions with the heads of state or government of the NATO partners Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Korea, and sessions with the presidents of the European Council and the European Commission. The NATO-Ukraine Council will hold its first meeting, and the ministers of foreign affairs and defence will have informal discussions.
