Police found 18 migrants secreted in a van following a chase Monday morning, the Interior Ministry Regional Division in the port city of Burgas said. A Mercedes Sprinter van with Burgas plates, driven by a 20-year-old man, and a Volkswagen Golf pilot car, driven by a 19-year-old, were stopped for a check at a crossing in the city at 9:00 am. Before that, both drivers had not pulled over at the stop signal of the police at the Poda entrance to Burgas. 

The eighteen migrants found in the specially designed secret compartment in the van identified themselves as Afghans. A total of 20 people were detained by the police.
