site.bta180+ Apply to Participate in Port Burgas 2023 Swimming Marathon

More than 180 swimmers have registered for the Port Burgas 2023 Swimming Marathon, the organizers from the Pobeda Swimming Club announced on Friday. It will be held on July 8, Saturday, in the waters adjacent to the Marine Station.

There will be two events – 1,000 meters and 3,000 meters. The course has been selected in such a way that it allows spectators to fully observe the race of the swimmers.

The 3,000 events for men and women carry a purse of BGN 1,000 for the winners, followed by BGN 600 for second place and BGN 400 for third place.

The purses for the shorter distance event are BGN 400 for first place, BGN 300 for second place and BGN 200 for third place respectively.

Among the more than 180 swimmers of different ages already registered there are people of all ages from Bulgaria and 7 other countries. Registration is still ongoing.

This year's competition is included in the World Aquatics calendar. It is supported by the Port of Burgas, the Bulgarian Navy and Burgas Municipality.
