Parliament passed with 114 votes on first reading Wednesday revisions to the Plant Protection Act. No one voted against or abstained.

The amendments are aimed at harmonising national and European legislation in the field of fertiliser products and plant protection products and are related to the infringement procedure launched against Bulgaria.

Additional provisions of the bill propose definitions for the terms "accredited laboratory", "inorganic fertilisers", "fertilisers", "fertilisers, soil improvers, biologically active substances, nutrient substrates intended for use only on potted plants".
