PM Denkov Leaves for Brussels, to Hold High-Level Bilateral Talks on Sidelines of European Council Meeting

Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov is leaving for Brussels on Wednesday, the Government Information Service said. He will take part in the regular European Council meeting and will hold a series of bilateral talks at the highest level.

Denkov is scheduled to confer separately with European Council President Charles Michel and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Wednesday.

On Thursday, the Bulgarian Prime Minister will hold talks with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and other European leaders.

On Thursday and Friday, Denkov will take part in the proceedings of the European Council. At the summit meeting, EU leaders will discuss Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine and the EU's further support for Kyiv, and matters of the economy, security and defence, migration and foreign relations.
