The executive council of North Macedonia's ruling SDSM party has decided that the changes to the civil registry law should not be adopted in this form and consultations on it should continue "with all stakeholders in order to find a generally acceptable solution" and that the public debate on the draft gender equality law should continue before it enters government and parliamentary procedure.
