Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Mariya Gabriel will participate in a regular meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) to the Council of the European Union, which will take place on June 26 in Luxembourg, the Foreign Ministry said Monday.

The meeting will focus on the Russian military aggression against Ukraine, relations between the EU and the Latin American and Caribbean region, including the upcoming regional summit between the EU and the Community of Latin America and Caribbean states (CELAC)on 17- 18 July 2023 in Brussels, as well as the topic of digital diplomacy. Highlights of the Council's agenda will also be the situation in Tunisia, relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the latest developments in the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue.

Deputy Prime Minister Gabriel will also hold bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of France, the Netherlands and Sweden, said the Foreign Ministry.
Spain takes over the presidency of the EU from Sweden on July 1. Re-industrialisation, the green transition, strengthening social justice and EU unity are the four priorities on the agenda of the Spanish Presidency.
