President Rumen Radev will pay a visit to Austria on June 23 and 24 at the invitation of Austria's Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer, said the Presidential Press Secretariat Thursday. The two will meet on June 23 in Vienna. The further deepening of bilateral cooperation between Bulgaria and Austria, this country's accession to Schengen, as well as topics on the European agenda will be discussed during the talks, which will take place at the Federal Chancellery.

In the course of the day, President Rumen Radev will participate in a round table organized by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKO). The event will be attended by representatives of the Bulgarian and Austrian business.

On June 24, Rumen Radev will participate in this year's edition of the Europa- Forum Wachau, which takes place in Lower Austria. The President will deliver a speech in the main closing panel, moderated by Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer and featuring Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. This year's theme is "Building a Sustainable, Green and Competitive Europe".

The international event in Lower Austria has been organised since 1995, when Austria joined the EU, and is held in the Goetheweig Abbey as a symbol of the unifying idea of European politics, Christian values and taking into account the positions of society. The event traditionally discusses common European policies and visions for the future of the Community.
