site.btaTurkish Authorities Prevent 25 Migrants from Crossing Border to Bulgaria

Turkish border guards have discovered a group of 25 illegal migrants who intended to cross illegally into Bulgaria. According to the DHA agency, the group was hiding in the vicinity of the border settlement of Kofcaz, Kirklareli district.

Teams of the Turkish gendarmerie in Kirklareli, entrusted with guarding the border with Bulgaria, captured the migrants while they were preparing to cross the border under the cover of night.

During the interrogation of the detainees, it was found that they were from Pakistan, Iran and Iraq and that they had arrived illegally in Turkey. After registering their identities, the illegal migrants were handed over to a migrant center in the Pehlivankoy settlement to be repatriated.
