site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 462 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 12.63%

April 12 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 371,993 after 3,658 tests identified 462 new
 infections on Sunday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/ early on Monday. The test positivity
rate now stands at 12.63 per cent.
 
Sofia tops the list of new cases with 143 positive tests,
followed by Plovdiv with 33 cases and Rousse with 31.

The active cases are 71,317. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 10,382,  including 797 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 12,573.

Another 459 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 286,258.

The new metrics also includes 67 fatalities and the death toll
now adds up to 14,418.

With 1,600 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 572,662
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus, of whom 113,253  have received both doses. RI/LN/
