site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,708 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 11.47%

April 24 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 396,302 after 14,888 tests identified 1,708
new infections on Friday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
11.47 per cent.

Sofia tops the list of new cases with 389 positive tests,
followed by Plovdiv with 183 cases and Varna with 133.

The active cases are 56,599. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 8,073, including 751 in intensive care.

Another 2,477 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 323,877.

A hundred and five new fatalities were reported, and the death
toll now adds up to 15,826.

With 18,423 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 716,940
vaccine doses in aggregate have been administered.
