site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,382 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 9.8%

April 29 (BTA) - The test positivity rate on Wednesday
was 9.8 per cent after 1,382 new cases were confirmed through
14,082 tests, show data posted on coronavirus.bg on Thursday.

The most confirmed cases, 331, were reported in Sofia, followed
by Plovdiv with 127 and Varna with 122.

A total of 402,491 COVID-19 cases have been registered in
Bulgaria since the start of the pandemic, of which 50,782 are
active.

A total of 7,168 people were in hospital on Wednesday, including
 697 in intensive care.

With 3,013 recoveries on Wednesday, the total now stands at
335,431.

The reported deaths were 96, bringing the total since the start
of the pandemic to 16,278.

A total of 776,254 COVID vaccine doses have been administered so
 far, of which 25,355 on Wednesday. So far 190,535 people have
