site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 241 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 4.12 Per Cent

May 10 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in
Bulgaria reached 410,202 after 5,853 tests identified 241 new
infections on Sunday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
4.12 per cent.

Sofia Region tops the list of new cases with 66 positive tests,
followed by Varna with 33 cases and Veliko Turnovo with 21.

The active cases are 44,881. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 5,912, including 562 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff are 13,255.

Some 207  COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 348,391.

Twenty-seven fatalities were reported, and the death toll now
adds up to 16,929.

With 5,645 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 938,064
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus, of whom 291,996 have received both doses. RI/ZH
