Strong southerly winds caused significant damages in a few regions across Bulgaria on Wednesday. The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology had issued a warning for Wednesday, including red code in the northwestern regions of Montana and Vratsa, where wind speeds reached 30-35 m/s. An orange code was declared in the regions of Lovech, Gabrovo, Veliko Turnovo, Sofia Region, Kurdzhali and Hakosovo. A yellow code warning was in force in the remaining 20 regions.
