site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 53 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 1.2%

May 31 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in
Bulgaria reached 418,274 after 4,377 tests identified 53 new
infections on Sunday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
1.2 per cent.

The active cases are 20,075. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 3,176, including 359 in intensive care.

The capital Sofia had the most new cases, 17.

Another 178 COVID-19 patients recovered over the last 24 hours,
bringing the total to 380,537.

Five fatalities were reported, and the death toll now stands at
17,662.

With  5,045 inoculations over the last 24 hours,1,353,249
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus, of whom 552,185 are fully vaccinated. DD
