Sofia, May 31 (BTA) - Hitherto director of the Directorate
General for Organized Crime Control (DGOCC) Lyubomir Yanev has
been dismissed from the post and rehired elsewhere in the system
of the Interior Ministry, the Ministry said in a press release
on Monday. Kalin Stoyanov, who since 2014 to date has served as
head of DGOCC's Special Operations Department, has been
appointed as DGOCC acting director.

The reshuffle was done on an order of caretaker Interior
Minister Boyko Rashkov.

This is the latest reshuffle in the Interior Ministry which
started with the dismissal of the Ministry's chief secretary
Ivailo Ivanov on May 14.

A few days ago, a disciplinary proceeding was launched against
former head of the Internal Security Directorate Stefan Bankov
whose name cropped up in alleged wiretapping of politicians.
Bankov holds that his directorate did not use special
surveillance means to wiretap politicians. He complained of
being fired from his post and said that Rashkov exerted pressure
on him. In response, the Ministry started the disciplinary
proceeding against him on charges of harming the reputation of
the Interior Ministry. NV/ZH
