site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 782 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 4.3%

August 12 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 430,410, after 18,166 tests identified 782
new infections on Wednesday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
4.3 per cent.

Sofia Region tops the list of new cases with 161 positive tests,
 followed by Plovdiv with 89 cases and Burgas with 78.

The active cases are 12,577. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 1,222, including 108 in intensive care.

Another 217 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 399,527.

Eighteen fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds
up to 18,306.

With 12,322 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,126,824
persons in aggregate have received a coronavirus vaccination so
far, including 1,056,193 who are fully vaccinated.
