site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,301 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 4.38 Per Cent

August 17 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 434,535, after 29,690 tests identified 1,301
 new infections on Monday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
4.38 per cent.

The active cases are 15,757. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 1,658, including 145 in intensive care.

Another 246 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 400,402.

Thirty-two fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds
 up to 18,376.

With 9,143 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,163,959
persons in aggregate have received a coronavirus vaccination so
far, including 1,079,266 who are fully vaccinated. RY/ZH
