Four black vultures and one common buzzard were found dead near the village of Ticha, Kotel Municipality (Southeastern Bulgaria) on Tuesday, probably killed by secondary poisoning after eating from the corpses of two dogs found nearby. On Wednesday, a team of the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds found two dead jackals in the same area, bringing the number of the poison’s victims to nine animals.
