site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 3,462 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 9.2%

Sofia, November 23 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 676,750, after 37,593 tests identified 3,462 new infections on Monday, 81.31 per cent of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/ early on Tuesday. The test positivity rate now stands at 9.2 per cent.

The active cases are 106,516. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 7,168, including 775 in intensive care. Of the 1,004 new hospital admissions, 88.05 per cent were not vaccinated.

Another 4,777 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 542,727.

A total of 254 fatalities were reported (92.52 per cent unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 27,507.

With 15,865 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 3,201,874 vaccine doses have been administered so far. 1,703,026 are fully vaccinated, and 65,091 have received a booster jab.
