Patriotic Front, Bulgaria without Censorship Make Proposals
Concerning New Cabinet, Its Priorities

Sofia, October 12 (BTA) - The Patriotic Front coalition Sunday
said in a position circulated to the media that it insists on
the formation of a programmatic government of national
salvation, comprising experts who are non-political figures
nominated by the parliamentary represented parties and supported
by as many political forces as possible. The first task of this
cabinet should be the removal of the Movement for Rights and
Freedoms from power, the position reads.

The Patriotic Front is in favour of Bulgarian economy's revival,
promotion of Bulgarian production and an urgent increase of
Bulgarians' incomes, the introduction of tax, accounting and
licence concessions, the creation of a National Fund for
Supporting Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, and the adoption
of an act against speculation.

The Patriotic Front also insists on an immediate audit in the
energy sector under the control of a special parliamentary
committee and an investigation into corporate and other economic
crimes, the lifting of taxes on minimum incomes, an urgent
recovery of the troubled Corporate Commercial Bank and an
investigation into the reasons and people responsible for its
liquidation.

Also on Sunday, the Bulgaria without Censorship (BwC) coalition
said that it insists on the formation of a government within
this Parliament with the mandate of GERB. The coalition does not
have conditions on whether the next prime minister should be
GERB leader Boyko Borissov, but considers that it would be
better if someone else takes this post. Furthermore, BwC finds
it concerning that there are xenophobic and nationalist
formations in the 43 National Assembly.

According to BwC, the pressing matters before the new parliament
are the update of the national budget and the budget of the
National Health Insurance Fund, as well as talks about the
electricity price and the future of Corporate Commercial Bank.

Regarding the reforms in the energy sector, BwC thinks this
issue can be solved by liberalizing the energy market,
establishing an energy exchange, renegotiating the conditions of
the US thermal power plants, and new legislation for the
renewable energy sector.
