Positions on Most

Sofia, October 14 (BTA) - Of all 18 priorities, listed by GERB,
there is full coincidence of the positions of this party and the
Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) in regards to 12 of
them, GERB's Menda Stoyanova said at a news briefing after the
consultations with MRF. There is some similarity regarding the
remaining six priorities, she added.

The Tuesday talks GERB holds with MRF were the second in a
series of consultations with the parties to be represented in
the next Parliament, scheduled for this week. On Monday GERB
held negotiations with the Bulgarian Socialist Party.

The GERB negotiating team included Tsetska Tsacheva, Roumyana
Buchvarova and Menda Stoyanova, and MRF is represented by
Aliosman Imamov, Roushen Riza and Yordan Tsonev.

"We hold the firm stance that a steady government cannot be
expected with a group of 84 MPs," Tsacheva said.

She noted, however, that GERB are satisfied with the sincerity
of the dialogue. The topics, in regards to which the positions
are similar were clearly outlined as well as the differences,
that give grounds to GERB not to accept the support offered by
MRF as a possible holder of a mandate for the formation of a
minority government.

After the consultations, which lasted for three hours, GERB said
that they will not continue the talks with MRF on the formation
of a government but will work for keeping the dialogue with the
Movement.

"We consider that the created temperature of political
intolerance and disagreement should be overcome and outlived.
The best solution, in our opinion, is that MRF would have a
break in the country's governance, so that we could start
building a new style of relations between the two parties," said
Roumyana Buchvarova after the consultations. /PK/DS, TK/
