Greatest Percentage of Young Bulgarians Live in Sliven, Bourgas: Eurostat Data

Sofia, October 15 (BTA) - The two cities in Bulgaria with the
greatest percentage of young people under the age of 15 are
Sliven, Southern Bulgaria, with 17.6 per cent, and Bourgas, on
the Black Sea, 15 per cent. Vidin, on the Danube, and Gabrovo,
Northern Bulgaria, are the two cities with the greatest share of
ageing population, respectively 26 per cent and 25 per cent of
the total population, Eurostat data on demographic structure of
EU cities and regions show.

Four regions in France and one each in Ireland, Spain and
Britain, are populated with the youngest Europeans.

Sofia is among the EU capital cities with the lowest percentage
of foreigners with registered address of residence there,
according to 2012 Eurostat data. There are 13,000 foreigners
with registered address of residence in Sofia, or 1 per cent of
the 1.3 million population of the capital. Warsaw has the lowest
share of foreigners with registered address of residence there,
0.6 per cent.
