Set to Receive More Compensation
over Russian Embargo

to support producers affected by the Russian embargo on EU
agricultural products, the State Fund Agriculture said on
Friday.

They will complement an existing support scheme for fruit and
vegetable growers, aiming to restore balance on EU's fruit and
vegetable market.

The new measures will apply to producers of tomatoes, carrots,
peppers, cucumbers, cabbage, cauliflower, mushrooms. apples,
pears, grapes, soft fruits, kiwi, oranges, clementines and
tangerines. In 12 EU countries compensation will be paid for
specific quantities, which will be set based on exports to
Russia over the past three years between August 1 and December

compensation has been received under the previous scheme.

The remaining 16 EU countries, including Bulgaria, are eligible
for compensation for produce of up to 3,000 tonnes. Applications
