State of Disaster Lifted in Bourgas Region

Sofia, October 27 (BTA) - The state of disaster in the coastal
Bourgas Region, which was hit by severe rainstorms over the
weekend, was lifted on Monday, the regional administration said.
The villages of Sinemorets and Rezovo remain without
electricity and cut off from the rest of the country after the
Veleka River overflowed its banks close to where it empties into
the Black Sea.

The disaster in Bourgas Region claimed the life of a 39-year-old
woman, who was found drowned in Primorsko Municipality on
Sunday morning.

Nationwide, the situation is coming back to normal after a
number of areas were hit by heavy rain and abundant snow over
the last couple of days. All roads are now passable with the
normal precautions for winter.
