Sofia, October 28 (BTA) - In a statement Tuesday on the election
results in Ukraine, Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov said that
Ukrainian citizens clearly showed their will to live in a free
and democratic country.

"After the holding of parliamentary elections on October 26, we
look forward to the formation of a stable government in Kiev
which will implement the necessary economic and political
reforms in the country. Ukraine must continue on the path of
change and guarantee equal rights for all its citizens
regardless of their origin, ethnicity or religion.

Bulgaria actively participates both bilaterally and within the
EU in the dialogue with the Ukrainian authorities and closely
monitors the situation of Ukrainian citizens of Bulgarian
origin. We support a unified, independent, democratic and stable
Ukraine," says the press release.
