Bourgas Coal Workers Set to Continue Protests

Bourgas, on the Black Sea, November 3 (BTA) - Coal workers at
the Cherno More Mine near Bourgas are planning another round of
protests over back wages. The miners decided to continue their
protests after they received only a 200 leva advance on their
pay for September, the Podkrepa Confederation of Labour said on
Monday.

The protests first began in September, when coal workers of the
Cherno More Mine stayed almost 48 hours under ground in order to
press their demands. Subsequently, they were given a 130 leva
advance on their wages for July.
