Court Leaves in Custody
Four Customs Officers
from Lessovo
Sofia, November 6 (BTA) - A specialized court has left in
custody four customs officers working at the Lessovo border
crossing, on the Bulgarian-Turkish border. In an operation by
the State Agency for National Security and the prosecution
authorities over the weekend staff manning the border crossing
were detained because of taking unlawful payments. The four are
border crossing chief Dimiter Nikolov, Georgi Banev, Chavdar
Dyulgerov and Yuri Kouznetsov.
The court ruled that there is substancial evidence that the four
are part of a bribery ring.
The ruling is appealable. LI/PP
