Discuss Good Practices of Their
Prosecuting Magistracies
Sofia/London, November 10 (BTA) - The good organization and
useful practices in the defence of crime victims were among the
topics discussed between Bulgarian Prosecutor General Sotir
Tsatsarov and the Director of Public Prosecutions in Britain,
Alison Saunders, Tsatsatov's Office said in a Monday press
release.
Combatting organized crime and corruption and the British
experience in the field of witnesses protection were discussed
during Tsatsarov's meetings with Supreme Court Justice Lord
Mance and representatives of the British National Crime Agency
and of the HM Revenue & Customs office.
During his meeting with Minister of State at the Foreign Office
David Livington, Tsatsarov discussed the implementation of the
recommendations in the reports under the Cooperation and
Verification Mechanism.
The British side has assessed positively the work of the
Bulgarian Prosecutor Office in the areas of combatting crime and
corruption.
Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov was on an official visit to
Britain November 4-7 at Saunders' invitation.
