Slovakia in connection with the opening of the international
tourist fair, ITF SLOVAKIATOUR - Incheba 2015).
President Kiska visited the Bulgarian stall, where four
touroperator companies are presented. Local travel agencies and
touroperators are showing high interest in Bulgaria's
participation in this year's edition of the exhibition.
Bilateral cooperation featured on the agenda of the
Angelkova-Kiska talks. The interlocutors discussed the prospects
for joint initiatives to promote tourism in Bulgaria and
Slovakia. They agreed to strengthen cooperation between the two
countries' administrations in this sphere. There is an interest
in organizing a bilateral forum for the development of the
tourist sector. President Kiska is about to visit Bulgaria in
the autumn of 2015.
Bulgaria and Slovakia will work for the development of the
Danube Brand and for focusing on the implementation of the
Danube Strategy. An agreement to this effect was reached by
Minister Angelkova and Frantisek Palko, State Secretary at the
Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development.
The two countries will study the possibilities to set a foothold
on distant markets. Palko supported Angelkova's initiative for
stronger focus on tourism within the Juncker Plan. The
possibility for the launching of a direct service between Sofia
and Bratislava was also discussed as it was agreed that this
would boost bilateral tourist exchange.
Being listed amongst the most important events in the region of
Central Europe, the ITF SLOVAKIATOUR is the biggest fair of
travel in Slovakia. Each year it brings a complex service for
people who want to travel abroad or enjoy the beauty of
Slovakia. A huge portfolio of travel agencies is presented, as
