Croatia Expects "Epopee of Thracian
Kings: Archaeological Finds in Bulgaria" Exhibition
after Louvre Presentation
Sofia, February 3 (BTA) - Croatia will expect the "Epopee of
Thracian Kings: Archaeological Finds in Bulgaria" exhibition
after its presentation at the Louvre, which will be held from
April to July this year. Croatian Ambassador here, Ljerka
Alajbeg, has expressed a desire for the exhibition to be shown
in her country next year at a Tuesday meeting with Culture
Minister Vezhdi Rashidov, his ministry said.
The sides also discussed the opportunities for joint underwater
archaeological research by the island of St. Cyricus near the
Black Sea resort of Sozopol. Rashidov noted that Croatia has
many achievements and deservedly enjoys world renown in this
particular field, and Bulgaria would be happy if Croatian
specialists share their knowledge in the process of such
research.
Based on the new cooperation programme signed between the
culture ministries of Bulgaria and Croatia for the 2014-2017
period, the two countries will have to take concrete steps to
step up cooperation in preserving cultural heritage, as well as
in publishing, stage arts and cinematography, among others,
Rashidov noted./PK/BR
