Second Meeting of Project for Linking Telecom Grids in Border Areas of Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia

Sofia, August 6 (BTA) - The second meeting in a project for
linking the telecommunication grids of Bulgaria, Romania and
Serbia in the border areas between the three countries started
here on Thursday, the Bulgarian Transport, IT and
Telecommunications Ministry said.

A managing and technical council for preparing the trilateral
project were set up in June. The participants in Thursday''s
meeting were familiarized with the technical specifications of
the grids and the ways they can be linked.

The initiative for the trilateral cooperation came from the
Bulgarian Transport, IT and Telecommunications Ministry. The aim
 is to ensure a possibility for the public institutions in the
three countries to use high-speed secure telecommunication
channels for data exchange.
