146 Pretrial Proceedings Opened In Two Rounds of Local Elections

Sofia, November 1 (BTA) - The prosecution authorities said that a total of 146 pretrial proceedings over voting irregularities were opened in the two rounds of the local elections by 11 am on Sunday.

In the first round there were 101 pretrial proceedings. Eight persons have been sentenced for crimes against the political rights of citizens.

A total of 1,845 case files have been opened, and in 1,483 instances the prosecution authorities refused to institute proceedings.
