Employers against Suggested Minimum Insurance Income for 2016

Sofia, November 2 (BTA) - The Association of the Organizations of Bulgarian Employers (AOBE) definitively rejected the proposed minimum contributory incomes by occupations and economic activities proposed for 2016 and included in the draft Public Social Insurance Bill, the association said in a declaration sent to the heads of the parliamentary committees on labour and social policy and on budget, Hassan Ademov and Menda Stoyanova, as well as to the heads of the parliamentary groups, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry said Monday.

A copy was sent to Labour and Social Policy Minister Ivailo Kalfin.

The proposed average increase in the minimum contributory incomes by 8.6 per cent from this year's levels substitutes the agreements achieved earlier.

The association is considering a joint appeal to all employers' organizations to reconsider the existing practice.
