site.btaMagnitude 3.1 Quake Registered in SW Town of Yakoruda

Sofia, February 13 (BTA) - A magnitude 3.1 earthquake was registered in the southwestern Bulgarian town of Yakoruda at 1:20 am local time on Sunday, the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences said.

The Institute's Department of Seismology said the quake was epicentred 16.9 km north of Yakoruda and 64 km south of Sofia.

The quake was felt in the Borovets mountain resort, said the Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography. DD
