Jan-Oct 2015 FDI in Bulgaria Stand at EUR 1,371.5 Mln, National Bank Says

Sofia, December 17 (BTA) - According to preliminary data, foreign direct investment in Bulgaria presented according to the directional principle amounted to 1,371.5 million euro (3.2 per cent of GDP) in January - October 2015, growing by 373.9 million euro (37.5 per cent) from January - October 2014 (997.6 million euro, 2.3% of GDP). In October 2015 foreign direct investment in the country grew by 63.5 million euro, compared to an increase of 125.5 million euro in October 2014, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said Thursday.
    
The largest net direct investment inflow in Bulgaria for January - October 2015 was from the Netherlands (766.2 million euro).
   
According to preliminary data, direct investments abroad were negative amounting to 27.2 million euro in January - October 2015, compared to a positive value of 459 million euro in January - October 2014. In October 2015 they dropped by 3.6 million euro, compared to a decline of 69.4 million euro in October 2014.
