Parliamentary Economic Policy Committee's Leadership Confers with Employers' Organizations

Sofia, July 1 (BTA) - The Chair and Deputy Chair of Parliament's Economic Policy and Tourism Committee, Petar Kanev and Daniela Saveklieva, conferred here on Friday with leadership members of the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association (BICA) and members of the International Coordinating Council of Employers' Unions (ICCEU).

Kanev familiarized the guests with the economic situation in Bulgaria and the work his Committee, the Government and Parliament are involved in.

Kanev and Saveklieva answered questions by employers about the opposition's role and the submission of bills and amendments between first and second reading. According to Saveklieva, the business sector in Bulgaria is the link between the Executive and Legislature.

Representatives of employers' organizations from Russia, Ukraine, Armenia and Kazakhstan also attended the meeting and presented ICCEU's activities. BICA Chair Vassil Velev familiarized the participants with his Association's work.
