Sofia, September 15 (BTA) - Konstantin Popov, Chairman of the Parliamentary Defence Committee, met with Vice Admiral Colin Kilrain, NATO Special Operations Headquarters Commander, GERB's press office said.

Vice Admiral Kilrain praised highly the Special Operations forces of the Bulgarian Army and their ability to meet their NATO obligations.

Popov talked about the Defence Committee's law-making priorities in the area of national security and defence.

The sides agreed that in the context of today's volatile global and regional security environment, the special forces' responsibilities keep growing and expanding and now include anti-terrorism.
