Sofia, October 31 (BTA) - Bulgaria's and Italy's air forces concluded the joint implementation of NATO's Air Policing mission, the Bulgarian Defence Ministry said in a press release Tuesday.

At Tuesday's closing ceremony, the Graf Ignatievo Air Base Commander, Brigadier General Ivan Lalov, said that the contribution of the joint mission is related to the building and strengthening of mutual trust as NATO members and allies, the exchange of professional experience, and the broadening of capabilities for interaction in case of need, the press release reads.

The commander of the Italian forces stationed in the Graf Ignatievo Air Base, Colonel Moris Ghiadoni, underscored in his speech the significance of the four-month cooperation between the air forces of Bulgaria and Italy.

The four Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft of the Italian Air Force will leave on Wednesday, the Defence Ministry also reported.
