site.btaReport on Bulgaria's Progress within Cooperation and Verification Mechanism

Brussels, November 13 (BTA Correspondent Nikolay Zheliyazkov) - The European Commission said that it will present on Wednesday the reports on the progress of Bulgaria and Romania within the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism (CVM).

The documents will be discussed on Tuesday by the European Commission members at their weekly meeting in Strasbourg. Last week European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said at a news conference that the report for Bulgaria will be very positive.

The report is expected to review the fulfillment of the 17 recommendations contained in the January report. The Commission has expressed its readiness to lift the CVM by mid-2019.
