Davos/Sofia, January 25 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov conferred here Thursday with the Saudi Ministers of Commerce and Investment, Majid Bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, and of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Khalid A. Al-Falih, said the government press office. The Saudi ministers assessed in highly positive terms the November 2017 visit to Saudi Arabia by the Bulgarian government leader and said the bilateral talks put the beginning of fruitful cooperation between the two countries.

Meeting on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, the two sides discussed follow-up steps after Borissov's visit to Saudi Arabia, aiming to enhance bilateral economic cooperation and strengthen trade and investment.

Borissov sent cordial greetings to King Salman of Saudi Arabia and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, and gratitude for the fine organization of his visit to Saudi Arabia.

Borissov congratulated his Macedonian counterpart Zoran Zaev on the will in his work on the Euro-Atlantic integration of his country, and encouraged him to continue the negotiations with Greece for the final solution of the issue with the name of the country.

Borissov held informal talks with his Estonian counterpart, Jueri Ratas, and with the presidents of Lithuania, Dalia Grybauskaite, and of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci.

The Bulgarian Prime Minister also talked with former United States Secretary of State John Kerry. On the agenda were the situation on the Balkans and Bulgaria's wish to draw the attention of the international community to the Euro-Atlantic integration of the Western Balkans during the country's EU Presidency.

Borissov and German Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen concurred that Bulgaria and Germany have an excellent defence partnership, both in NATO and the EU. They said that establishing the Permanent Structured Cooperation in defence was a step forward in European integration.

Borissov and IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde commented on the good cooperation between the Bulgarian government and the IMF, as well as on Bulgaria's excellent macroeconomic indicators, the government information service said. The IMF's latest mission had positive conclusions about the public finances, the financial sector and banking supervision in Bulgaria.
