site.btaPresident Radev Holds Consultations on Constitutional Amendments with Judicial Council Members

February 19 (BTA) - As part of his initiative for
consultations on the need of amendments to the Constitution,
President Rumen Radev Wednesday met with representatives of the
Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), his press secretariat said. The
SJC's status and functions, the role of its Inspectorate and
Parliament's quota in the administration of the judiciary were
on the agenda of Radev's meeting with SJC representative member
Boyan Magdalinchev and Prosecutors Chamber members Daniela
Masheva and Yordan Stoev.

The President has already met with Supreme Administrative Court
President Georgi Cholakov, representatives of academia and NGOs.
 More meetings will be held with the heads of the judiciary's
institutions and with the political parties. RY/DD
