site.bta713 Cases of COVID-19 Confirmed in Bulgaria
April 14 (BTA) - The number of COVID-19 cases confirmed
in Bulgaria has reached 713, the National Coronavirus Task Force
(NCTF) reported on Tuesday evening. The total includes 18 new
cases confirmed on Tuesday, 12 of them in Sofia, 3 in
Kyustendil, 2 in Smolyan and 1 in Plovdiv.
There have been 35 COVID-19 fatalities in the country so far.
The average age of death is 64.8 years.
At an earlier briefing on Tuesday morning, the NCTF chief, Major
General Prof. Ventsislav Moutafchiiski, thanked the US Embassy
for donating 6,500 PCR tests.
The laboratories performing PCR tests for coronavirus have
increased by 11. Moutafchiiski said private laboratories are
doing their work properly and all positive patients are traced
