site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,822 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 14.4%

February 26 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19
cases in Bulgaria reached 243,946 after 12,645 tests identified
1,822 new infections on Thursday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
14.41 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 503 positive
tests, followed by Bourgas Region with 194 and Plovdiv Region
with 139.

The active cases are 31,173. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 4,368, including 370 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 10,143.

Another 689 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 202,694.

Fifty-three fatalities were reported, and the death toll now
adds up to 10,079.

With 20,050 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 199,512
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus, of whom 34,719 have received both doses. RY/LG
