Sofia, March 4 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in
 Bulgaria reached 253,183 after 6,182 tests identified 1,154 new
 infections on Thursday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
18.7 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 380 positive
tests, followed by Bourgas Region with 150 cases and Plovdiv
Region with 77.
   
The active cases are 33,770. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 5,093, including 425 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 10,309.

Another 589 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 209,000.

22 fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to
10,413.

With 4,397 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 248,169
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus, of whom 41,873 have received both doses.
