site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 4,467 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 23%

March 23 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 307,890 after 18,808 tests identified 4,467
new infections on Monday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/ at the beginning of Tuesday. The test
positivity rate now stands at 23 per cent.

Sofia tops the list of new cases with 1,289 positive tests,
followed by Plovdiv with 373 cases and Varna with 281.

The active cases are 58,671. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 8,689, including 691 in intensive care.

Another 2,260 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 237,031.

The new fatalities total 169 and the death toll of the
coronavirus now stands at 12,188.

With 7,465 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 376,370
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
